BIO: Frederick Pellum has a B.A. in Commercial Design from Fort Valley State University and an M.F.A. in Multimedia: double majored in Graphic Design/Illustration and Digital Photography/Video from the University of Miami. He previously taught at the University of Miami in Coral Gables Florida, Fort Valley State University in Georgia, and Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina, in addition to his extensive professional experience in the field. His body of work is rooted in accentuating the strength, beauty, creativity, resilience, and other positive qualities in people of African descent. Mr. Pellum accomplishes this by creating, discovering, and highlighting individuals or events, largely unknown to the masses that work to bring about positive change in our communities.
